Communities of Practice Meetings in New Jersey

Pediatrics & School-Based Therapists

The MEMBER ONLY Pediatric & School-Based Community of Practice meets on the 3rd or 4th Wednesday of every month from 6:30-7:30 for the 2026-2027 school year. You must be a member to attend meetings. All meetings are conducted via Zoom and will be sent to members' email addresses prior to the start time. 

 

The NON-MEMBER/MEMBER NJOTA School-Based Community of Practice, acknowledged by the NJDOE for occupational therapy practitioners working in New Jersey public schools, will take place during the school day in the Mornings from 9:00-10:00 am. This will be open to both members and non-members. This is an active participation meeting. Attendees are required to have cameras on and participate in group conversations. Format: A brief description and resources are shared (10-15 minutes), breakout rooms for discussion (20-30 minutes), and a wrap-up for a summary document (10-15 minutes).

  • November 19, 2026: Data Collection: Are your notes capturing student progress?
  • January 12, 2027: Using MTSS to Support Teachers and Streamline Referrals
  • March 17, 2027: Do’s & Don’ts of AI in School-Based OT
  • May 6, 2027: How OT Supports Mental Health in the School Setting
