We’re excited to announce that the NJOTA conference is moving to a virtual format this year to increase our reach to occupational therapy practitioners who may not have been able to join us in person.  The focus of our virtual conference is on the expanding practice opportunities for occupational therapy practitioners in New Jersey!

With the recent modernization of New Jersey’s Occupational Therapy Practice Act, our profession has reached an exciting milestone. The updated Practice Act expressly recognizes a range of contemporary and emerging areas of occupational therapy practice—opening the door for practitioners to explore new ways to meet the evolving needs of the individuals and communities we serve.

Join us virtually for a conference highlighting the Occupational Therapy Practice Act changes and your practice opportunities in areas including:

• Parental/ maternal/ paternal health and wellness
• Women's health and intimacy
• LGBTQIA+ health and wellness
• Behavioral and mental health practice
• Disaster preparedness and emergency management

This conference will move beyond the legislation itself and focus on what these opportunities can look like in practice. Attendees will hear from occupational therapy practitioners working in these areas, learn about developing and expanding services, and gain ideas for bringing contemporary OT practice into their own settings.
