The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will host an audio conference/Q&A session regarding Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics and Supplies (DMEPOS) accreditation. This audio conference is designed to provide guidance to Physicians and the Rehabilitative industry that provides DMEPOS supplies/equipment to Medicare beneficiaries. We will be discussing compliance with the DMEPOS Quality Standards and the accreditation process, and will provide ample time to answer questions from the supplier audience. To view the

Learn and Play at the Beach 2008

This year, Tammy Sarracino M.Ed., OTR/L BCP and Sherry Milchick, M.Ed. present their widely acclaimed course Making "SENSE" of Behavior: Sensory Regulation and Behavioral Strategies. This course seeks to present a deeper understanding of the connections between behavior, sensory processing and emotional regulation offering practical skills in teaching children successful behaviors and sensory/emotional regulation.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY INTERNATIONAL is planning a special issue in the topic of alternative medicine and occupational therapy, guest edited by Dr. Emily Haltiwanger. The primary purpose of this issue is to focus on research that provides evidence of the effective use of alternative therapy techniques in occupational therapy for treatment of physical or mental health problems.
